Terms of Service

1. Who this is between

This agreement is between you and the operator of Omet ("Omet", "we", "us"), the live video chat service at omet.live. If you do not accept these terms, do not use the service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Omet, and old enough to enter a binding contract where you live. By using the service you confirm that you are.

You must not use Omet if you have previously been removed from it, or if the law where you are prohibits a service of this kind.

3. Your account

You are responsible for your account and for everything done through it. Keep your credentials to yourself, and tell us promptly if you believe someone else has access.

One person, one account. Do not share, sell, rent or transfer an account, and do not let another person appear on camera as you.

4. The service

Omet connects you with other people for live one-on-one video conversations. We provide the platform; we do not employ, supervise or vouch for the people you meet through it, and we make no promise about who will be available at any moment.

Some people you can call are hosts who are compensated for their time on the platform. Where that is the case, it does not change what you are being charged.

We may change, suspend or discontinue features. We will not do it capriciously, but the service is not frozen in the shape you first found it.

5. Paid calls and credit

Calls on Omet are paid. Each person you can call sets their own rate; on a matched call, the rate is shown on screen before charging starts. Where credit is purchased in advance, it is a prepayment for use of the service, has no cash value, and is not transferable between accounts.

Prices may change. A change never applies retroactively to a call that has already happened.

6. Refunds

Where the law gives you a right to a refund or to cancel, that right applies and nothing here limits it.

Beyond that: if a call failed for a technical reason on our side, or you were charged for something you did not receive, contact us and we will make it right. Unused credit may be refundable at our discretion. We do not refund calls that took place simply because the conversation was disappointing.

7. Acceptable use

The Community Guidelines form part of these terms. In summary, you must not:

• Show nudity or sexual content, or involve anyone under 18 in any way.
• Harass, threaten, defame, or attack anyone for who they are.
• Solicit money, run scams, or move people off the platform to do so.
• Impersonate anyone, or transmit pre-recorded or automated video as a live camera.
• Scrape, reverse engineer, overload, or interfere with the service or its security.
• Use the service for anything unlawful where you or the other person are.

8. Content and recording

You keep ownership of what you say and show. You grant us the limited right to transmit it as necessary to operate the service, and to retain material that is reported to us for as long as needed to investigate and to meet legal obligations.

Do not record, screenshot or redistribute another person's call without their consent. Doing so may be a criminal offence where you are, and on Omet it is grounds for permanent removal.

9. Suspension and termination

You may stop using Omet at any time and ask us to close your account. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaks these terms or the Guidelines, and we will do so immediately and permanently for anything involving a minor.

If your account is terminated for a breach, unused credit may be forfeited to the extent the law allows.

10. Our intellectual property

The Omet name, the site, its design and its text belong to us. You may not copy or reuse them, or present yourself as connected to Omet when you are not.

11. Disclaimers

Omet is provided "as is". We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error free, and we do not control or endorse the conduct of the people you meet through it. Meeting strangers carries risk; please read the Safety page.

12. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for the conduct of other users. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before it arose.

Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

13. Changes, law and contact

We may update these terms. When we do, the review date at the top of this page changes, and continued use after that means you accept the revision.

Mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence apply regardless of anything in this document. Details of the operating entity and governing law will be published in this section; until they are, we do not assert a jurisdiction we have not confirmed.
